🏆 5 TIPS FOR SHOOTING WORMBURNERS (Boys Lacrosse)
️⃣ LOW RELEASE ANGLE: Keep your stick low to the ground during the release. A lower start makes a lower finish.
️⃣ SNAP YOUR WRIST: Use explosive wrist action to propel the ball low. This is where the power and directional control come from.
️⃣ FORWARD LEAD LEG: Step hard towards your target and stay low to the ground. This creates a powerful, stable base and drives the ball downward.
️⃣ STAY LOW, AIM LOW: Keep your eyes down and aim at the turf just before the goalie. This is your target zone. Don’t look at the whole net—look for the space under the pads.
️⃣ FORCEFUL FOLLOW-THROUGH: Power through the entire shot, maintaining a low stick path. A strong, consistent finish is key.
